Actinium Set to Join Russell 3000®, Russell 2000®, Russell Global, and Russell Micro-Cap® Indexes

Inclusion in Indexes to Enhance Liquidity and Visibility

NEW YORK-- Actinium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE MKT:ATNM) ("Actinium" or "the Company"), a biopharmaceutical Company developing innovative targeted payload immunotherapeutics for the treatment of advanced cancers, is set to join the broad-market Russell 3000® Index as well as the Russell 2000® , Russell Global and Russell Microcap® indexes when Russell Investments reconstitutes its comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes on June 27, according to a preliminary list of additions posted June 13 on www.russell.com/indexes.

Annual reconstitution of Russell’s U.S. indexes captures the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization. Membership in the Russell 3000, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion in the large-cap Russell 1000® Index or small-cap Russell 2000® Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. The Russell 2000® Index measures the performance of the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity universe. The Russell 2000® is a subset of the Russell 3000® Index representing approximately 10% of the total market capitalization of that index. It includes approximately 2000 of the smallest securities based on a combination of their market cap and current index membership.

Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.

"We are pleased to be included in the Russell indexes and the opportunity it affords us to increase our visibility and reach within the investment community. We are moving aggressively to build a world class organization to support the advancement of our lead Iomab-B program in a Phase 3 trial for relapsed and refractory elderly AML patients; our Actimab-A program in a Phase1/2 trial in newly diagnosed elderly AML patients and; both compounds in additional cancer indications," said Kaushik J. Dave, Ph.D., Actinium’s President and CEO.

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately $5.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked to the Russell Indexes. Russell calculates more than 700,000 benchmarks daily covering approximately 98 percent of the investable market globally, more than 80 countries and 10,000 securities. These investment tools originated from Russell’s multi-manager investment business in the early 1980s when the company saw the need for a more objective, market-driven set of benchmarks in order to evaluate outside investment managers.
